Ukrainian Community in North Ayrshire

When help is not just a word, but a joint action.
Since the beginning of this year, thanks to the initiative of Audrey from West Kilbride, Dean from Kansel, and the support of our community, we have started collecting used clothes and toys for children and teenagers to send them to displaced people from Ukraine.
As a result of this teamwork, children from the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass and Kherson region received help.
You and I know better than anyone what it means to arrive at a new place of residence with only what you have managed to take with you...
Even a PlayStation 3 has found its way to a child - thanks to the kind hearts here in Scotland
Below are a few photos and messages that we will gradually update.

Thank you
During the community planning survey, many of you said that you support the idea of community assistance. That is why we are continuing in this direction, even if it is in small steps
Affordable and reliable logistics remains one of the biggest challenges
Together we managed to raise about 5000 UAH on Maxim's bank. Of these:
▪ 400 UAH - to pay for the delivery of things by Nova Poshta
▪ 4000 UAH - for the purchase of nets for the military (the report has already been published) and to pay for car repairs for the defenders (we are waiting for the report)
▪ 166 UAH - bank balance
We are grateful to everyone who wrote to us in private messages ✉ and agreed to keep things at home in clean and good condition
As soon as a new date for the transfer is agreed, we will pick up everything and send it to Ukraine 🇺🇦
So far, unfortunately, we do not have a permanent dry storage room, but our Kansel is supporting us in finding a suitable space
Together we are strong
Thank you to everyone who joins in.
